I was asked whether i am a designer when taking a photo of color and material demo of chairs. I am not (yet), but it is a pleasure to be mistaken for!
i was actually not that yet to arrive for the speech, however, the speech was already finished. the speaker was surrrounded by many: to b-talk to him, to take a picture with him...i was thinking to have a name card then go, but he just cannot find his name cards... what a pity, i think.. then I just marked down the name of his studio.. it doesnt make much sense if i asked a card but know nothing about his presentation anyway...
because amimi forgot to bring her mobile, we ended up with waiting for each other by... chance. while i was waiting for her, i read the vipassana book that i bought but not finish yet.
there came a girl, sitting next to me. i talked to her, thinking she might recognize me but i forgot that today i had contact lens while i was with glasses yesterday. she paused a bit but soon enough to greet me back and said, "you are the one in the speech yesterday?" i smiled (yesterday, the speaker shared some materials and she was sitting on the bench on my right hand... just upon jotting down the information, she practively handed her hands out and smiled at me and i smiled back while giving her the books on my hand) i am really lucky that she took photos of the speech "mix and match in life"- mix match, can be reached by an objective balance: personal needs vs wants; west vs east.. elements that are totally different but can be arranged in a harmanious way to catch people's attention! as people know what beauty is, though they might not be able to articulate how they value beauty.
as i glanced over the photos, i asked her any take aways? and i found a photo and wondered what it has to do with mix match. a photo aroused my curiosity: a chinese white bowl, with some yangchun(陽春) noodles inside, a wooden tray, a leaf and the setting is very western. This is a mix match, she said. got it!
as the chat was about to be some irrelevant talk and introduction, she said it is time for her to pick her friend up. I wondered what time it is, and she said it is about 4...... the time amimi and me should meet too. we say goodbye and after i wrote this indirect speech down, i stood up to look for amimi...and when i looked back, i saw the speaker was smoking in the area i just hanged around..... so i approached him and said, "hello, Wang! Did you find your name card?" again, he tried again, to find his biz card... this time, he found it: i am the very first one in the whole speech to have this card, OMG! we didnt have much chance to have a conversation, however, i said i will stop by on the website to leave a message while he invited me to go south to enjoy their food... last, i was asked by name! the whole thing is just CooooooooOL......
i got everything... in mind, in an indirect way.... it is arranged, in a nice way.. just gotta be in the flow and see what would be next!
be grateful, you will receive those.. gifts!
